Sunday: From the Brandywine
to Philadelphia’s Main Line
streams, mansions and even a grist mill
Start/Finish: Chadds Ford Historical Society 1736 Creek Road Chadds Ford, PA 19317 Not Confirmed Yet
Sunday’s 49-mile ride starts in Chadds Ford and travels north along the Brandywine over mostly flat terrain. We head east into Philadelphia’s Main Line suburbs of Malvern and Radnor, through the campus of Immaculata University and then along a stretch of rolling hills, estates and horse farms.
Heading back to Chadds Ford, we’ll ride down to the historic Newlin Mill Complex located on the original land grant given to William Penn in 1681. And before the ride is over, visit the John Chads House circa 1725. Then it’s back to Chadds Ford for lunch and the end of our tour.
Rest stop refreshments and lunch will be provided.
